Chief of NZ Army visit the Battlefields of Flanders

Chief of Army Major General Peter Kelly, MNZM was in Flanders with the Defence Blacks to pay his respect to his forebears. 
It was a moving weekend starting on Friday with some visits and in the evening the Last Post under the Menin Gate.  On Saturday a battle field tour and in the afternoon the rugby match against the Belgian National team. The Defence Blacks won 28-25. On Sunday it was an early start with a ceremony on 9 Elms Cemetery in Poperinge, followed by a ceremony at 's Graventafel in Passchendaele to commemorate the Battle of Broodseinde.
